pregnancy What are my chances of having a healthy pregnancy and baby after having a stillbirth of unknown causes?
I had a stillborn son, two years ago. We don’t know why it happened. I am trying to convince my husband to have another baby, but I also have my own fears. I mean, what if it happens again? Tell me what are my chances of having another stillbirth. What are my chances of having a healthy pregnancy and subsequent birth and baby? Any information, not opinions, are appreciated. Please and thank you in advance.
Does anyone know if my next pregnancy will be categorized as high risk or anything, since my stillbirth?

Did you know that a simple treatment for reflux can be better for your health and acid reflux than antacids? The reason behind this natural health discovery is the fact that antacids cure the symptoms and a natural treatment cures the problem. And this is also the reason why you continually buy antacids but to no avail.

Heartburn acid reflux or (GERD) gastro esophageal reflux can be a very painful condition especially when you do not realize what is happening. Maybe you ate or drank something and now all of a sudden you are experiencing pain in the throat a burning sensation or a horrible taste in your mouth.

If you’re looking to cure your chronic insomnia the sleep diary is the best place to begin. It’s one of the most valuable tools in any self-help program. And if you eventually decide your insomnia requires medical treatment it will provide your doctor with important information. So no matter how you treat your sleepless nights don’t skip this step.

Candidiasis can be a pesky infection to treat more so since the pharmaceutical treatment for such includes the use of powerful systemic antifungals. These antifungals may cause side effects that may even rival the illness it was made to treat. However there have been breakthroughs in the treatment of systemic yeast infections that focus on more natural means of treating the illness.

There are dozens of non-prescription medications for treating recurring heartburn and acid reflux. If you have tried them all and went the route of trying advice from friends and relatives to no avail you need to get to the bottom of your problem. Treating the symptoms and not the cause is the reason nothing seems to be working for very long. Normally there are a few reasonable explanations for your discomfort. Depending on the person normally the two main reasons are what type of food you are eating and how much. Symptoms of acid reflux disease include heartburn a painful sensation in the lower esophagus induced by the acid having lengthy contact with the unprotected lining of the lower esophagus.

The best acid reflux and heart burn cure may be prevention. Someone said “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. But even people who are very careful about what they eat may experience heart burn problems from time to time.

Heartburn and Pregnancy Tips

Heartburn and pregnancy go hand in hand because of the hormonal and physiological changes that a pregnant woman undergoes. When a woman is pregnant, her abdomen has more pressure, forcing the acids to go upwards to the esophagus and the throat.

Another reason is because of the increase of hormones in a woman’s body, resulting to the softening of the ligaments which keep the lower esophagus muscles closed. Softened ligaments will result to a relaxed LES, causing gastric juices to come through.

If you are pregnant and you want to avoid heartburn, there are many practical tips to follow. Here are some of them:

1. Avoid smoking. Nicotine is found to weaken the LES, so stop smoking. Moreover, it is not really good for your health and your baby’s.

2. Don’t wear tight clothes and belts. Tight apparels and tight objects around the waist will only add more pressure around the abdomen, pushing the stomach contents upwards.

3. Don’t lie down after eating. Wait for at least two hours before you lie down, to ensure that the stomach acids will stay where they should be.

4. Maintain a healthy weight. Too much weight will only increase more pressure on the stomach, making the acids go to the esophagus.

5. Avoid foods that cause the LES to relax. These include fatty food, tomato-based products, citrus fruits and juices, alcoholic drinks, high fat butter and cream, greasy food and caffeine.

6. You are advised to eat low fat food and more vegetables, since these are the ones that are not heartburn triggers.

If your heartburn persists, you should visit a doctor to help treat your condition.

Just found out that you are pregnant? Congratulations; now you need to know why the right diet for pregnant women is so important. There are many rules and you will be told a lot about which foods you should eat and which foods you shouldn’t.

Of course it goes without saying that you must take professional advice from your doctor or your family’s health care provider who will help you with your diet and guide you through all aspects of your pregnancy.

Importance of the Right Diet For Pregnant Women

The right diet for pregnant women is so important for your baby. A healthy pregnancy really begins in your first trimester when you are developing habits and your baby is starting to form. During the first trimester your baby’s major body systems are formed. This means your baby is in need of the best possible nutrients.

Your baby gets nutrients directly from you. If you are lacking in a nutrient then your baby will be lacking. The baby takes what you have first and then relies on you to provide the rest. Not only is your developing baby relying on you for the proper nutrition, but your body also needs to be sustained or you will suffer from nutrient deficiency.

During pregnancy your baby takes its nutrients directly from your body. This can leave your body susceptible to problems if you do not eat the right foods. The last thing you need during pregnancy is to become ill. That will make the pregnancy harder on both you and your baby. This is why the proper diet for pregnant women is so important.

Foods you Need

There’s a common saying, “now you are pregnant you are eating for two” but that is a myth. You do need a little extra but remember your baby only needs nutrients which he or she will get from what is already in your body through your blood supply. What you eat doesn’t directly go to the baby and never actually feeds the baby, but it does sustain you.

With that in mind, your diet needs to be packed with nutrients. Eat lean proteins, plenty of fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Your diet should be well balanced and full of foods that contain calcium, protein, fibre and iron.

Foods to Avoid

There is a long list of foods that you should not eat during pregnancy and many reasons why these foods are on the list. Generally speaking, you should avoid eating foods high in fat or sugar. These foods provide few nutrients and they will cause you to gain too much weight, which can make a healthy pregnancy not so healthy.

The list of foods you should not include in a diet for pregnant women are raw fish, raw eggs or other foods that are not completely cooked. You do not want to put yourself and your baby at risk of food poisoning or sickness that can result from eating undercooked foods.

A healthy diet for pregnant women especially during the first trimester is fundamental to having a healthy pregnancy. It is important to understand the impact of what you eat on your baby.

The first trimester is such a wonderful time when your baby is really developing. Not getting the right nutrients can lead to problems later on in the pregnancy and even after your baby is born.

For a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby eat a healthy diet.

I notice that in almost every family today are concern and aware the important of taking supplement to promote their health. Most people choose a herbal or all-natural supplement because there are proven to be effective yet safe to consume.

But to gain maximum results from that supplement, there are other things to consider instead of just bought it and place it in the cabinet or storeroom.

Here are 7 best practices you may consider after you buy any herbal (all-natural) supplement products:

#1 Storage
Store in a dry place below 30 degrees centigrade (86 degrees Fahrenheit). Most of medicines especially herbal (all-natural) supplement should be stored at room temperature in a dark, dry place. Do not place them in bathroom, the warm temperature and humidity could drive down the product qualities.

#2 Expire Date
Take a note or highlight the expire date. Most expire date was printed on the bottle and could easily disappeared by time. You may put a clear plastic tape to protect the expire date label / printing. It is good practice if you check all your supplement supplies every 2 – 3 months to make sure they are not expired and safe to consume. If you must throw them out then make sure to do it properly.

#3 Sunlight
Avoid herbal supplement from direct sunlight. It may cause the product to deteriorate, to the point where it loses almost all its potency.

#4 Dosage
The manufacturer usually gives you a certain dosage and put it on the box or bottle. This dosage is recommended based on the product formulation to give you maximum results without unwanted side effects. So, only take the right amount of the recommended dosage.

#5 Patient
Some supplement was design to give you the best result when it is taken in a certain time (like in the morning or before bed time) and period (3 – 6 months). Take the supplement on a regular basis and don’t stop in the middle unless you have serious healthy condition after taking the supplement. Herbal components usually work slower than prescription drugs, but if you patient enough to wait, they will deliver significant results.

#6 Children
If you have children then always keep out of reach of children and away from the eyes. Do not refer to medicine or supplement as candy to your children, they love candy and will seek for them!

#7 Pour Carefully
If your supplement comes in a bottle, pour carefully the pills or tables to the bottle cap or tray, and pour excess back to the bottle with the bottle cap or tray and not with your bare hand. Direct contact with your palm of your hand (or wet hand) may deteriorate the rest of pills / tables in the bottle. Close the bottle tightly and properly. The tablet’s color normally changed or become darker after several open & closes the bottle. Don’t worry, it is normal for all-natural herbal supplement in form of tablets.

I’m 29 weeks and have THE worst heartburn ever. I have never had it so bad in my life!

Last night I didn’t get any sleep until 7 in the morning, after I puked. I still had heartburn even after that but I somehow managed to find relief enough to get to bed.

I have Tums, which help but they only help with the heartburn. I have really bad indigestion as well and it seems impossible to get rid of. The only way I can even begin to get relief is if I sit up and burp about 20 times. As soon as my head hits the pillow I have it again.

What are some natural ways to get rid of it? My doctor gave me Zantac but it dosn’t help me so I no longer take it.

Thanks
