Hello
I used to have hear burn then found it was actually acid reflux. I fixed mine with two ways, lost weight and sat up straighter in chairs.
Losing the weight was the biggest factor for me.
Sitting straight up in the chairs allowed no buckling in my pathways and when ever I get the acid reflux, because of spicy foods or drinks, I sit up and it clears up for me.
I hope this helps you
Cheers
Tony
Inadequate chewing and choices of the foods that we eat are major contributors to causing heartburn.
It’s easy to assume that if food is chewed well enough to SWALLOW it, then that’s enough. In order for food to digest properly, it needs to mixed very well with saliva, which contains digestive enzymes, especially for carbohydrates. Chewing our food 20-30 times PER mouthful is usually sufficient for average eating. People with serious disease often need much more.
Of course, the “norm” is distractive eating, like talking around the table, watching tee-vee, etc. Focusing our minds on absorbing our nutrition, concentrating on chewing our food until it is LIQUID, while seeming unusual and tedious, are ways of connecting with ourSelves, enhancing health and balance.
Try it – it may amaze you how much effort and concentration it takes to overcome unconscious habits, like not chewing well, not breathing deeply, not drinking WATER frequently (instead of toxic, dehydrating beverages like coffee, sodas, alcohol, etc.).
Alcohol and (poisonous-toxic) pharmaceutical chemicals are the OPPOSITE – merely suppressing the SYMPTOMS of “dis-ease” instead of addressing their causes.
