What are some natural remedies for heartburn and indigestion?
I’m 29 weeks and have THE worst heartburn ever. I have never had it so bad in my life!
Last night I didn’t get any sleep until 7 in the morning, after I puked. I still had heartburn even after that but I somehow managed to find relief enough to get to bed.
I have Tums, which help but they only help with the heartburn. I have really bad indigestion as well and it seems impossible to get rid of. The only way I can even begin to get relief is if I sit up and burp about 20 times. As soon as my head hits the pillow I have it again.
What are some natural ways to get rid of it? My doctor gave me Zantac but it dosn’t help me so I no longer take it.
Thanks

Peppermint really works for indigestion. You can get bottles of Peppermint extract in the baking section of stores. 20 drops or so taken in a glass of water. Or you can drink peppermint tea. Or mints if they have a lot of peppermint oil in them.
I had relentless heartburn for 5 years and nothing helped me until I went on PRILOSEC. It takes a few days to start working but it changed my whole quality of life.
I had really bad heartburn also. I tried to stop eating foods that had acid in them, esp orange juice and grape fruit. The only way mine would go away is if i made myself throw up.
Glass full of water with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. This recipe will make you burp a lot – BUT IT WORKS (FROM EXPERIENCE).
Another home remedy: Avoid heartburn: before meals, mix the juice of half a lemon and a pinch of sat into an 8 ounce glass of water & drink. After meals, try a teaspoon of honey to soothe your heartburn. I HAVE NOT TRIED IT YET BUT I WILL!
I forever suffer with heartburn!
Drink milk. Don’t eat for 1-2 hrs before going to bed. Sleep with the top portion of your body raised higher than your stomach, put something under the top portion of your mattress to raise it up so you’re not laying flat. Don’t eat anything spicy & stay away from sugary foods & drinks, & don’t drink caffeinene. Eat only when sitting upright, don’t be slouching back or laying on your side while eating. Eats lots of small meals instead of just a few big meals.
wow that ewok guy needs to be smacked! shes pregnant asshole! tums is the only thing that helps with me. and chocolate milk, not regular.
PAPAYA!!! You can either eat the fruit (good fiber too) or they sell a tablet form.. It helps with heartburn!!! As far as indigestion you have to give up on laying down to sleep you have to sleep semi upright!!! You could sleep in a recliner.. Buy a wedge pillow or prop the head end of your mattress up about 40 degrees!! Good luck hope this helps
You can just have normal mints… like TREBOR or Fox’s… thats what i normally have
