Avoid salt.
Drink water. It will get rid of water retention.
drinking water actually helps…corn silk is the supplement
Foods high in sodium aid water retention. Avoid salty foods and drink more water.
I know when I had severe water retention in the hospital they said to drink LOTS of water believe it or not. I heard that grapefruit and cantelope are good. Cranberry juice and coffee are diuretics also. Also, cut back on your sodium.
Avoid salt – fast food, junk food and restaurant food is all loaded with salt. There are probably natural diuretic pills at the health food store – I have never tried any.
Don’t eat salty foods and don’t add any salt to your foods. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Believe it or not you have to drink water to release water. If you don’t drink enough your body will hold on to every last drop. Birth control is designed to trick the body into believing that it is pregnant so that it won’t get pregnant. A pregnant woman retains a lot of water. So if you’re body thinks that it is pregnant it will hold on to as much water as it can if it feels it is being deprived or if it believes its supply is low.
Stay away from sodas they are very high in sodium.
Fast Foods are high in salt too.
Asparagus, Cucumbers, Watermelon are foods that have diuretic affects.
Drinking Green Tea is also good for getting rid of water.
Oh and Prunes too =)
You must take lesser intake of salt and sweets, rice and fatty foods e.g.chocolates,starchy and spicy food. Avoid Chinese, as ajinomoto can cause the swelling. Take a lot of fenugreek seeds fermented in water overnight to allow the right level of body fluids, and drink plenty of water to flush out the system! Visit your gynaecologist to find the best pill to suit you.
