What should I be eating as a vegetarian to ensure a healthy pregnancy?

I don’t eat meat as I have an allergy to it, it makes me very poorly if I eat it, especially red meat, I can eat chicken but in very small doses before I become ill! So any suggestions for a healthy diet and what to avoid?
Thanks

A generally healthy mostly-vegetarian diet. Since you are eating some animal products (dairy, eggs, small amounts of poultry — do you eat fish?) you should have no difficulty getting all the nutrients you require.
A quick google search for ‘vegetarian pregnancy’ gets lots of hits, including both websites and information about printed books you can buy.
You’ll also want to be sure to take your prenatal vitamins.

Hey Maternity.com has a really good article for those who are Vegan. Because you can eat dairy products, you don’t have to worry so much about calcium and vitamin D, unless you’re not eating enough of that already. You’ll want to mainly focus on protein intake. Eating more of the leafy green vegetables will help to ensure that you get at least 70 grams of protein daily. Focus on increasing your usual intake to compensate. Hope this helps!
